The PHILIPS PM 5539 is a solid state TV color analyser developed for measurement and adjustment of the levels of the three primary colours used in TV sets and monitors, with reference to a preset "colour white" standard.
The color analyzer gives the solution to the problem of "objective setting" of color monitors and the three LED bars mounted over each other ensure a quick and accurate reading.
The high sensitivity, the possibility of presetting up to four different white standards, and an optional battery unit (not included), which makes operation possible where mains connection is inconvenient or impossible, make the color analyzer an ideal instrument for quick measurements and setting of color TV receivers or monitors in TV-set production centers, TV research and development laboratories, studios, etc..
This unit is in good shape. It has six range (level setting) and 4 color reference settings (color temperature) which are set using 4 sets of potentiometers on the back of the unit (allowing the user to preset his/her own user calibrated settings
